2. AT HOME
The home follows a planned schedule for the children which incorporates all dimensions
of growth in a child. The physical, emotional, socio-cultural, mental, and spiritual aspects
are catered to through a well-thought and structured schedule at the home. The children have
continued to follow the home rules that have taught them to take up their responsibilities in
carrying out their chores. The age-appropriate chores such as laundry, tidying up the bed,
cleaning the common area, and garden work have been assigned to the children. The girls have been
divided into teams to carry out the work. There has grown a sense of belongingness to the
children’s home, a caring attitude towards their peers, and teamwork in the activities that they
do. There has been a good balance of physical, spiritual, studies, and extra-curricular activities.
A. Activities - Study Time
The children’s home has a designated tuition teacher who visits the home and coaches the
children on a regular basis. The study time mainly assists the children in their homework
and coaching them in subjects of difficulty. The teacher takes care of these aspects.
The children have shown a lot of improvement in their studies compared to the struggle they
faced when first admitted to the school. Special attention is given to slow learners, improving
their language and skills, with frequent tests being conducted to measure their level of education.
